Prometon is the common name of a herbicide which has been sold under the trade names Pramitol and Primatol. Prometon is also a component of other herbicides such as Atratol and Pramitol 5PS. Prometon is a herbicide commonly used to control the emergence of most annual and many perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses in non-agricultural areas generally for a full season or longer.
Herbicide products containing Prometon are state RESTRICTED USE PESTICIDES, and require an applicator's license for purchase within the state of CO.
